This model has a traditional gable roof with access
for attic storage. Roomy design comes with a
full-size shower, toilet, and functional kitchen. Also
includes tank-less hot water heater and a futon
couch-bed. Mounted on a trailer just like Model 1.

tank-less hot water heater, this model is designed
for optimum efficiency and economy. Permanently
mounted on trailer, so you can take your tortoise
shell with you wherever you go.

Tortoise Shell Home is excited to announce the release of Model 3, a
Codding Steel Frame is utilized in this Tortoise Shell home, The
Galapagos. The steel frame is 50% lighter, uses 30% recycled
materials, and produces almost zero waste in it's construction. The
Galapagos has all the features of Model 2, and it has a roomy loft, gray
water system, and compost toilet. This home can be completely free of
normal hook-ups, by adding optional off grid solar power, and an
optional high tech water treatment system which can use river or lake
water for most of your water usage.
